Bruce Dickinson to Star in Horror Film Written by Son Austin

An unlikely combination of acts are coming together for a new horror film -- U.K. metal gods Iron Maiden and Sweden's pop icons ABBA.

A new film called Bjorn of the Dead will star Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson, and Deadline says the plot involves "an ABBA tribute band who find themselves, along with various other tribute acts, trapped in a nightclub at the start of the apocalypse. Bjorn and his band must work together to save themselves, humanity and the future of music."

Dickinson has a family connection to the film -- his son Austin Dickinson is the writer and producer. Deadline adds that "the film will have various cameos from the world of rock and heavy metal." It's not clear when it will go into production.
