40 Years Ago Today Billy Idol Gave Us More More More On 'Rebel Yell'

Released on this day in 1983, Rebel Yell is the second studio album from Billy Idol. Perfectly timed for the MTV Generation, the album's singles "Rebel Yell," "Eyes Without A Face," "Flesh For Fantasy," and "Catch My Fall" and their subsequent videos, helped propel it to the top of the charts. In the US it peaked at #6 and has gone on to sell over 2 million copies worldwide. Idol says he named the album after attending a party with The Rolling Stones and drinking "Rebel Yell" whiskey.

In honor of the album's 40th anniversary, check out all those made-for-MTV videos from the LP, below.
