On This Day In 1967 The Beatles Took U.S. On A Magical Mystery Tour

Released in the U.S. on November 27, 1967, Magical Mystery Tour is the highly anticipated follow up to Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by the Beatles. Released as a double EP in the United Kingdom and a single LP in the United States, the album was produced by George Martin and includes the soundtrack to the 1967 film of the same name. Despite widespread media criticism of the Magical Mystery Tour film, the soundtrack was a critical and commercial success and a number one Grammy-nominated album in the US.
