On This Day In 1979 Pink Floyd Released 'The Wall'

Released on this day in 1979, The Wall is the eleventh studio album from Pink Floyd. The concept album was supported by an elaborate theatrical tour and was adapted into a feature film in 1982. Featuring the singles "Run Like Hell", "Comfortably Numb" and "Another Brick In The Wall, Part 2" the album would become one of the best selling albums of the 1980s and has since become one of the best selling albums of all time, selling more than 30 million copies worldwide.
