John Fogerty: Not Going Down Under

John Fogerty has taken to social media to further express his disappointment at being removed from the lineup of Country Fest on March 31st in Queensland, Australia, which would have been his first show Down Under in more than a decade.

While Fogerty maintains that he was given no reason for being removed from the lineup, the promoter says negotiations with Fogerty’s team “did not reach a final outcome. The matter is now subject to court proceedings in the Supreme Court of Queensland.”

To make matters worse, tickets continued to be sold with Fogerty's name still on the bill for four days after he was notified, and the promoter is not offering refunds to those no longer interested in attending in light of Fogerty’s “non-appearance.”

Fogerty says he hopes to perform in Australia soon and posted an acoustic performance of Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Bad Moon Rising" for his fans there.
